So I went 1-3 last week, bringing me to an overall record of 5-3. Lets see if I stay above .500.
San Francisco 49ers 28, Atlanta Falcons 24
This game is a hard one to call. Definitely cannot overlook the Falcons anymore. While the stout 49ers defense was lit up by Aaron Rodgers last week, their even better rushing offense, led by Kaepernick and Gore destroyed the Packers D. Atlanta’s Defense isn’t much better; they gave up 28 points to a rushing Seattle offense last week IN ONE HALF. I think that the 49ers offense can outscore the Atlanta offense. Harbaugh 1, Others 0.
New England Patriots 31, Baltimore Ravens 27
This game is even harder to call. We saw this game last year. The Cundiff Game. Wide left. But that all means nothing. After all, the Patriots have had a weakness to birds this year (Cardinals, Seahawks, Ravens). But, looking at last weeks games, you can see that the Patriots should be able to pull this one off. Baltimore mainly relies on Ray Rice, no doubt about it. The Patriots held Arian Foster, a similar back, 90 yards. If the Patriot’s front 7 can remain strong, Aqib Talib, Devin McCourty, and Alfonso Dennard just have to remain disciplined to keep Baltimore from pulling off another miracle. And while Baltimore did win, they still allowed a Denver offense to score 35 points on them, mostly through the air. New England has the best offense in the league, racking up 427 yards per game. And after seeing how that No-Huddle worked on Houston, it should pay its dividends against an older Baltimore Defense. Harbaugh 1, Others 1.
